神奈川県出身。東京芸術大学卒業後渡米、ニューヨーク州立大学ストーニー・ブルック校音楽学部大学院修士課程修了。第１５回日本管打楽器コンクール 第１位をはじめ、国内の数々のコンクールに入賞を果たす。第５３回ジュネーブ国際音楽コンクール、クラリネット部門セミファイナリト。１９９９年からオー ケストラ・アンサンブル金沢のクラリネット奏者を務める傍ら、ソロ、室内楽等でも活躍中。

Native of Kanagawa Japan, Fumie Endo received her Bachelor of Music degree at the Tokyo University of the Arts. She continued her study at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she received her Master of Music degree studying with Charles Neidich. She is the winner of the 15th Japan Wind and Percussion Competition. She was also a semi-finalist at the 53rd Geneva International Music Competition. She has been a member of the Orchestra Ensemble Kanazawa since 1999.
